Preparing for the Third Offset

Why Exhibit & Sponsor? Sold Out!

The “Third Offset” strategy is an attempt to offset the declining technological superiority in an era of great power and competition.

The “Third Offset” budget falls into six targeted areas and there is a combination of small new-start research programs, and significant

accelerations of existing developmental programs.

The projected budget investment in this new strategy is:

$3.5 billion being spent in 2017 and $18 billion over the next 5 years.

The decision makers are interested in:
- Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Counter Improvised Explosive Devices (C-IED)
- CBRN detection/mitigation
- Combat Engineering solutions
- Civil Engineering assessment, mitigration, and repair technologies
- Robotic capabilities for infantry
